In the next season of IPL starting on March 22, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play seven matches on their home ground. The team has got a new captain in the form of Rishabh Pant. In the mega auction, team owner Sanjiv Goenka bought him for a record Rs 27 crore. Along with becoming the most expensive player in IPL history, Pant will also have to improve his game.
LSG will play seven home matches
According to a statement issued by LSG here, like the last two years, this time also LSG will play seven home matches at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. These include matches against Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
On which days will Lucknow’s matches be played?
LSG, led by Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who is captaining Lucknow Supergiants for the first time, will play its first match in Lucknow against Punjab Kings on April 1. Apart from this, it will face Mumbai Indians on April 4, Gujarat Titans on April 12, Chennai Super Kings on April 14, Delhi Capitals on April 22, Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9 and Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 18 at its home ground.
