In a major security operation, Border Security Force (BSF) troops neutralized seven terrorists attempting to infiltrate the Samba sector of Jammu late Thursday night. Officials confirmed the infiltration bid was detected through the BSF’s surveillance grid and met with a swift, lethal response.
According to a BSF spokesperson, the terrorists were supported by cover fire from Pakistan Rangers stationed at the Dhandhar post. In retaliation, BSF troops not only eliminated the infiltrators but also inflicted significant damage on the Pakistani position, including the destruction of a bunker.
The attempted infiltration coincided with Pakistani drone and missile activity targeting Indian military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. All threats were intercepted and neutralized, with blackouts enforced and air raid sirens activated across several areas.
In response to heightened hostilities, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered paramilitary forces to be on maximum alert across all border states, particularly those adjoining Pakistan and Nepal. Senior officials have pulled back personnel from leave and reinforced vulnerable outposts to prevent any breach of national security.
The situation remains tense but under control.
