The Aam Aadmi Party, ahead of the MCD elections, will launch a door-to-door campaign to explain its electricity subsidy registration scheme to the people.

Ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a door-to-door campaign across Delhi. The party, through the campaign, intends to educate citizens about the electricity subsidy registration scheme.

Party leaders and workers will reach out to the masses and explain to them the simplicity of electricity subsidy registration so that a large number of citizens can benefit,” said Durgesh Pathak, an AAP MLA and the party’s incharge of MCD elections.

The AAP stated that people in slums, colonies and underprivileged areas have concerns regarding the electricity subsidy registration scheme process. Therefore, the party’s office bearers would go door-to-door to explain the process and clear the doubts of the people.

The party also cleared that registration can be done from any phone number in the family, provided that the number is on WhatsApp.

Meanwhile, attacking the BJP, Durgesh said, “The BJP is attempting to build 16 new landfills all over Delhi. We’ll go door-to-door to make people aware of its hazards”.
