The Board of Control for Cricket in Indi (BCCI) has announced on Monday that the Indian domestic cricketers who were affected by the covid19-curtailed last season will be paid 50 percent additional match fee as compensation. For the upcoming 2021-22 season, BCCI has also announced a hike in their remuneration.
In a statement issued, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that senior players who have featured in more than 40 matches will get a raise of Rs 60,000. While U-23 players will get a hike of Rs 25,000, U-19 players will also receive a salary hike of Rs 20,000.
As far as compensation for Ranji Trophy and senior women T20s (2020-21 Season) is concerned, the cricketers who participated in 2019-20 BCCI domestic cricket season will get 50 percent match fee as compensation for season 2020-21 lost due to COVID-19 situation. Remuneration for women cricketers and senior players were also revealed.
The decision to organize the tournaments will be taken post the Under 19 tournaments and taking into account the COVID-19 situation.
