The Bhaav 2025 summit, India’s largest arts and cultural gathering, marked a momentous event with the launch of ‘Sita Charitam’ — a grand performance that brings together 500 artists, featuring 30 dance, music, and art forms. This performance is set to travel across 180 countries, showcasing a unique script that combines more than 20 different versions of stories, along with songs in multiple local languages.

  • 500 Artists, 30 Art Forms: The event featured a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary art forms from across India, including performances by the legendary Kavya Muraleedharan with her Bharatnatyam troupe and Kathak by Manisha Sathe alongside three generations of Kathak artists.
  • Bharatnatyam by Transgender Artists: A heartwarming performance by 10 transgender artists from West Bengal, showcasing the power of diversity and inclusivity in Indian culture.
  • Cultural Vibrance: The audience experienced a blend of various cultural expressions, including live renditions of Ram Bhajans, Garba, and music performances that brought people to their feet.

Guest of Honour and Inauguration:

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended the event, sharing his experience on social media and praising the cultural wealth showcased at the summit. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp, accompanied by the recitation of sacred shlokas. Eminent personalities, including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Padmashree Manjamma Jogathi, and Padmashree Uma Maheshwari, graced the occasion.

Art Awards 2025:

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar presented the Art Awards 2025, recognizing artists for their lifetime contributions to Indian art. Honorees included:

  • R Visvesvaran, a 94-year-old veena maestro.
  • A Anand, a renowned mridangam scholar.
  • Bannage Survan, a Yakshagana hero.
  • Atul Purohit, a Garba artist, recognized for his exceptional contributions.
