BJP leader Varun Gandhi said there has been a rise in unemployment in all the five poll-bound states.

In a tweet on Thursday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi drew focus on unemployment in the five poll-bound states — Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand.

Varun Gandhi said the need of the hour is to focus on “incentivising job creation”.

“Instead of political populism, we need to urgently focus on incentivising job creation,” Varun Gandhi said.

Earlier, during his two-day visit to his constituency Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh,

He had said that important resources of the country were being sold in the name of privatisation.

“To add to the woes, vital resources of the country are being sold in the name of privatisation…Think what will happen to the country when everything is sold,” Varun Gandhi said in Pilbhit.

Elections to five states will take place between February 10 and March 10 this year.
