Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin proclaimed that a cybercrime centre will be established in the state which will help in unravelling issues related to cybercrimes. Today, the Union Cabinet may consider a moratorium on payment of spectrum dues by telecom firms as part of a package for the sector. 11 States meet the target for capital expenditure in Q-1 of 2021-22

Eleven States namely, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand have achieved the target set by the Ministry of Finance for the capital expenditure in the 1st Quarter of 2021-22. As an incentive, these States have been granted permission by the Department of Expenditure to borrow an additional amount of Rs. 15,721 crore. The additional open market borrowing permission granted is equivalent to 0.25 percent of their Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). Public sector banks are now stable after prompt corrective actions taken: Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that India’s public sector banks that were caught in turbulence are stable now after prompt corrective actions (PCA) have been taken.   The minister was speaking at the Tamilnad Mercantile Bank’s (TMB) centenary celebrations in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
