Waaree Energies secures $2.37 billion worth orders for supplying bifacial solar panels

Domestic solar PV module manufacturer Waaree Energies has bagged new orders worth USD 2.37 billion from customers in the domestic and international markets. Waaree Energies said in a statement that the orders are for supplying high-efficiency bifacial solar panels of 540Wp (watt peak) and 600Wp. Toyota to locally produce EV components by investing Rs 4,800 crore

Toyota group firms, which also includes Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said on Saturday that they will invest in Karnataka for local production of powertrain parts and other components of electric vehicles to the tune of about Rs 4,800 crore. Amid India’s energy crisis, NTPC plans to expand its coal fleet with a new project in Odisha

In view of the nation’s worsening power crisis, India’s state-run electricity giant NTPC Ltd. plans to expand its coal-fired power fleet with a first new project in six years. Seen as a policy shift, NTPC will this month award a contract to construct a 1,320-megawatt plant in Odisha, according to a company source. Total Coal Production in April, 2022 Touches 661.54 Lakh Ton

During the month of April, 2022 India’s total coal production stood at 661.54 lakh tons. While Coal India Ltd (CIL) and its subsidiaries produced 534.7 lakh ton coal, production by Singareni Colleries Company Ltd (SCCL) stood at 53.23 lakh ton and production from captive mines touched 73.61 lakh ton during last month.
