The budget session of the Delhi Assembly came to a standstill as AAP and BJP MLAs created ruckus inside the Assembly even before Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena could deliver his address.

The budget session of the Delhi Assembly came to a standstill as the MLAs of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) created a ruckus inside the Assembly even before Lieutenant Governor (L-G) VK Saxena could deliver his address.

The proceedings came to a standstill even before L-G Budget speech as BJP and AAP legislators raised slogans against each other.

BJP MLAs demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped excise policy, while the AAP legislators raised slogans against the Saffron party as the LG began his address.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel ordered marshalling out three BJP MLAs including BJP MLA Anil Bajpai to bring order to the house.

BJP TO BRING NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION AGAINST AAP GOVT

The Delhi BJP has decided to bring a no-confidence motion in the assembly session on Friday, against the Kejriwal government due to its involvement in corruption cases.

The Saffron party has also given notice to extend the budget session by 10 days to discuss the issues in the union territory.

The decision to bring a no-confidence motion against the Kejriwal government was taken at a BJP Legislature Party meeting on Thursday. Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri chaired the meeting.
