Actor-couple Puja Banerjee and Kunnal Verma are finally going to tie the knot and will have a traditional destination wedding in Goa on November 15. Their one-yearold son Krishiv will also participate in the wedding, which had to be postponed because of the pandemic.
Kunal said, “Our wedding was supposed to take place in April 2020. That was when the pandemic struck, so we decided to settle for a court marriage in March 2020. Within a few months, Puja was expecting Krishiv and th dream to get married in a traditional ceremony took a backseat. We got busy as parents and looking after the baby and the thought of getting married traditionally never crossed the mind. However Puja always wanted to fulfil her dream of having a saat-phera wedding and I am fulfilling it for her now.”
The actor also revealed that initially they were contemplating getting married through Arya Samaj rites in Mumbai but somehow that idea did not click. They finally settled in for Goa after searching for destinations in Mumbai, Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar. The wedding will precede with a cocktail party and sangeet.
“The best part is that my son will also be seated on the ghodi for my baraat and will proudly tell his friends when he grows up that he was part of his pappa’s shaadi,” Kunal said.
The couple plan to have a small wedding reception too after they come to Mumbai.
