Aimed at creating awareness and access to digital & financial services, Block B Area of Northern Coalfields Limited has organized the ‘Digital Mela’ and ‘Financial Inclusion Camp’ at the Community Hall Kasar in collaboration with Common Service Centre.

The camp focused on providing access to a range of government schemes as well as financial services thereby facilitating villagers to carry out routine financial transactions and access benefits of government schemes. The camp also provided support framework to for PAN and Aadhar related services with special emphasis on opening up of new bank accounts for Anganwaadi registrants. Anganwadi Workers (AWW), ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) and Sarpanch of nearby villages actively participated in the camp and also ensured participation of natives of their respective villages.

The camp, organized under ‘Transform Singrauli’, also made villagers aware about APES (Aadhar Number Enabled Payment System) and its availability at Panchayat. As many as 100 villagers were provided the facility of APES in the camp.

Notably, Block-B NCL actively collaborates with CSC Singrauli to conduct Awareness Events and Financial Inclusion Camps. In a similar Digital Mela and Financial Inclusion Camp held at Raamlila Ground Block-B in December 2017, as many as 1500 people from Gorbi, Solang & other villages participated and nearly 900 new applications were received for PAN, Aadhar and bank account opening.

Run under the aegis of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Common Services Centres (CSC) Scheme provides web enablement and web consolidation in rural areas for utilities like filling of application forms, generation of certificates, payment of bills and other applications supporting e-governance.
