A high-level team from Russia, JSC ‘Rosoboronexport’, Baltic Shipyard, VINT and United Shipbuilding Corporation are on a three-day visit to HEC for co-operation in the field of Propeller Shafts.
The Govt. of India has presently approved the manufacturing of various warships. Mazagon Dock Ltd. has taken a lead for manufacturing presently approved Warship projects and have identified HEC as the potential source for various mechanisms like propeller shafts, rudder stock, stern gear system etc. Shri Avijit Ghosh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director – HEC has shown keen interest and is taking all efforts to tap the business potential.
Recently, Director (Marketing) – HEC, Shri Rana S Chakravarty visited Baltic Shipyard for preliminary discussion on co-operation. Baltic Shipyard along with JSC “Rosoboronexport” showed interest to venture with HEC and has planned their visit at HEC to see the facilities.
