Spread the love

To celebrate Children’s Day, Telenor India has planned to conduct a student outreach programme to spread awareness around life insurance among school students. Starting 15th November, Telenor along with its partners, Shriram Life and MicroEnsure, will launch a unique initiative to educate students on the importance of life insurance.

Telenor employees across all circles will distribute pencils to students and give them leaflets explaining benefits of life insurance for a family. As part of this unique initiative Telenor will reach out to over 30 lakh students covering 4000 schools across 237 towns. This activity will kick-start from 15th Nov and will continue for the whole of November creating awareness on life insurance across different schools.

Telenor Suraksha is a first of its kind initiative by any telecom operator in India launched last year in collaboration with Shriram Life Insurance and MicroEnsure to offer free life insurance. This was introduced for Telenor’s existing as well as potential customers across its six operating circles. Telenor Suraksha has already enrolled more than 24.5 million customers. Customers can avail the Telenor Life Insurance absolutely free by simply maintaining a minimum average recharge per month. The maximum life cover under this scheme is Rs. 50,000 per person.
