Thousands of people gathered inside and outside the vegetable market but the police prevented people from going to the helipad, during which Priyanka Gandhi boarded her car along with the former armyman Ramnath Singh Sikarwar.

The road show started from Galla Mandi and ended at Oont Gir crossroads, during which locals and party workers showered petals on Priyanka Gandhi. She even took off garlands from her neck and threw them towards the people and appealed to vote for Ramnath Singh Sikarwar.

Priyanka Gandhi also distributed wrist bands of the party’s campaign ladki hoon, lad sakti hoon among women.

A local resident, Pintu Bansal, said people are supporting the Congress candidate because they are not happy with BJP nominee Bhagwan Singh.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal (SP-RLD) alliance candidate Mahesh Jatav from Agra Rural seat was taken into custody by the police for taking out a roadshow with dozens of vehicles.

The RLD party workers in the vehicles ran away, leaving the vehicles behind. Mahesh Jatav was taken to the Malpura police station after being taken into custody.
