Three days after the UP Assembly poll results were declared, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Yogi Adityanath in New Delhi on Sunday.
Amit Shah congratulated Yogi Adityanath for his win in the UP election. “The way he [Yogi Adityanath] implemented the Centre’s welfare schemes for the poor and strengthened the law and order under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, I am sure that he will continue to serve the state with the same dedication,” Amit Shah wrote on Twitter.
Earlier in the day, Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“In the last five years, Adityanath tirelessly worked for the development of Uttar Pradesh,” PM Modi said in a tweet after the meeting, adding that he is fully confident that in the coming years, he (Adityanath) will take the state to greater heights of development.
Yogi Adityanath also met BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, BJP chief JP Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his visit to New Delhi.
