Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Assam in the wee hours of Tuesday to take stock of the flood situation in the state. Modi will do an assessment of the flood affected areas with top officials of the state. In his visit to Assam, the PM will meet with Chief Minister of ASSAM, Sarbananda Sonowal and senior officials to discuss matters related to management of floods and damages caused by it.
