Two remote-controlled robots inducted into Delhi’s firefighting fleet

The Delhi government has inducted two state-of-the-art robots into the Delhi’s Fire Service. The remote-controlled firefighting robots will be able to navigate narrow lanes and perform tasks that would be too risky for human firefighters. These will have greater accessibility to places and will be able to douse fires in narrow streets, warehouses, basements, stairs, forests, and enter places like oil and chemical tankers and factories, the government said in a statement.
