Government invites applications for setting up Semiconductor and Display Fabs as per Modified Semicon India Programme from 1st June

Government has decided to invite new applications for setting up of Semiconductor Fabs and Display Fabs in India from  June 01, 2023 under the Modified Semicon India Programme. The applications will be received by India Semiconductor Mission, the designated nodal agency entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Modified Semicon India Programme for development of semiconductors and display manufacturing ecosystem in India. Over 150 Medical colleges across India are likely to lose NMC recognition for non-compliance, and inadequate staff.  The list of medical colleges on the NMC’s radar includes those in Gujarat, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, and West Bengal.  The deficiencies were revealed during an inspection carried out by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board of the Commission for over a month.  Union health minister had warned of action against medical colleges that do not stick to rules or maintain proper faculty.  The medical colleges have the option to…
