SC refuses to stay HC order over Oppo infringing Nokia patents

In a setback to Chinese smartphone maker Oppo, the Supreme Court on Friday refused to interfere with the Delhi High Court judgment that asked it to deposit 23% of the amount paid under a 2018 licence agreement towards “royalty” for alleged infringement of Nokia Technologies’ three standard essential patents (SEPs) in cellular Technology. CERT-In warns against ‘FraudGPT’ scam

CERT-In has issued a warning against FraudGPT, an AI-powered chatbot that can be used to create authentic-looking phishing messages or websites and fraudulent invoices or payment requests. These can be used to trick users into revealing sensitive information and clicking on malicious links. HC dismisses Indian startups plea against Google’s billing policy

The Madras High Court has dismissed 14 pleas filed by Indian startups against Google’s app billing policy. The court ruled that the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and that the startups should approach the CCI for relief. The startups had filed the petitions in April 2023, challenging Google’s new billing policy, which requires all apps on the Google Play Store to use Google’s in-app billing system. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has covered about two-thirds of the distance to the Moon since its launch on July 14, 2023. ISRO shared a graphic on Twitter on August 4, 2023, showing the spacecraft’s progress.
