with the network etc. and then load sharing and sharing of resources
were possible where large scale hardware and software can be put wherever you
want, consequently Big Data came in. We still have siloed management but
what happened is that we had difficulty in admission control which
causes security issues. Consequently, we came to a situation where we
had a multi-cloud architecture and now what is recommended is that
we should go for cognitive self-aware application.
Even though everyone is speaking about 5G, 5G is dense, as it comes from
various aggregated devices; it may not be possible to handle 5G. IT might
be able to handle bigger data consumption as applications like YouTube
are running, so it is possible that it may handle bigger data
consumption, by upgrading. Surprisingly, no one really speaks about
the situation IT architecture will face after 5G arrival. 5G is Denser with
10MB per sec/m3 and 10Million devices/square KM. It is quicker in
response, as quick as 1 millisecond including delay of transmission. Also the data
consumption is bigger as much as 20 GB and user experience could be
around 100 MB, moving at the speed of 500 kms /minute. HOWEVER, many are working

US Army is researching ‘telepathic’ brain signal communication tech for
soldiers
In a significant development in technology, the US Army Research
Office is funding new research into how brain signals could be analyzed
and decoded to create a silent communication channel for military
personnel. As reported by C4isrnet, the research program — backed by
the research office — has been led by University of Southern California
researchers, alongside colleagues in Los Angeles, Berkeley, Duke
University, and several UK universities, among others. This research
includes, algorithms and advanced mathematics providing the
foundation for separating brain signals that “influence action or
behavior from signals that do not,” as per the publication.
Indian economy contracts by 7.5% in Q2 and has entered into ‘technical recession’
India’s GDP contracted 7.5% in the second quarter of 2020-21, following a record 23.9% decline in the first quarter, as per estimates
released by the National Statistical Office on Friday. The country has
now entered a technical recession with two successive quarters of
negative growth, which was preceded by seven quarters of declining
growth. However, the economy’s contraction in the July to September
period, during which lockdown restrictions were eased, is better than
most projections of around 10% dip, and better than the 8.6% decline
estimated by the RBI.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and Tencent Holdings Ltd have each held
separate talks with Baidu Inc to acquire a controlling stake in video
streaming service iQIYI Inc. However, the discussions have stalled with
little hope of recommencing soon as they bawk at a valuation of around
20 billion dollars demanded by Baidu and as both companies, which have their
own video streaming services, face heightened scrutiny by China’s

A survey says, 66% of Indian employees want to work completely from home
About 83% of employees in India are still nervous about going back to
the office while there is no vaccine and restrictions are still in
place, as per the research agency PaperGiant. As per the survey, Indian
employees were more likely to want to work completely from home (66%)
than any other country surveyed. While people are still managing new
challenges that come with remote work, many reported a sense of ‘relief’
being free from the usual presenteeism of the office environment.
Increased cyber attacks on Indian vaccine makers in Oct-Nov
A report says, the most common ransomware that has been seen during the
Covid-19 situation is ‘NetWalker ransomware’, ‘PonyFinal ransomware’,
‘Maze ransomware’ etc. Microsoft detected cyber attacks from
nation-state actors targeting seven prominent companies directly
involved in researching vaccines and treatments for Covid-19, including
in India. Microsoft did not reveal the names of the vaccine makers, at
least seven Indian pharma companies are working to develop the vaccine
against coronavirus, led by Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech.
Suspected N Korean hackers target drugmaker AstraZeneca
As many have reported earlier that, bad actors and criminals are
targeting the Linkedin site for expanding their activities, as the
profile of elite crowd is present. Recently, suspected North Korean
hackers have tried to break into the systems of British drugmaker
AstraZeneca in recent weeks, Reuters reported. AstraZeneca, has emerged
as one of the top three COVID-19 vaccine developers and the hackers
posed as recruiters on networking site LinkedIn and WhatsApp to approach
AstraZeneca staff with fake job offers. The victims were sent documents
purporting to be job descriptions that were laced with malicious code.
Xbox bug could link hackers link gamers tag with the players emails fixed
It has been seen in many cases, Xbox bugs could have been exploited by
playing around a browser’s developer console and editing a cookie
field. The Xbox Enforcement site creates a cookie file in their browser
with details about the web session. This is done for easier log in the
next time and users do not have to re-authenticate details when they log
in again. Recently, Microsoft has been able to patch a bug in the Xbox
website that could have allowed hackers to link Xbox gamer tags
(usernames) with users’ email addresses. The bug was located on
enforcement.xbox.com where users view strikes against their profile. The
bug allowed the researcher to view emails of other users.

Zoho complaints Freshworks Of Intentionally Accessing Database
San Francisco based Zoho Corp. has filed a fresh case against
A start-up on Software-as-a-services (SaaS) ,Chennai based unicorn Freshworks in the US court, accusing the rival software firm of
intentionally accessing its database without authorisation and getting
information through one of the employees. Zoho has also asked for a
discovery process into the “scope of Freshworks’ unauthorised access” to
know if any other employees have committed a similar thing or not.
Sources said Freshworks was founded by two former Zoho employees,
Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy, Both of them had worked in
Zoho from 2001 to 2010 before founding Freshworks.
RBI guv says growth outlook better
Reserve Bank of India governor Shaktikanta Das said on Monday, that the
Indian economic system has exhibited a stronger than anticipated.
The growth outlook has improved however cautioned over and
should be watchful over drawback dangers of a recent surge in
infections, the sustainability of demand after festivals and a potential
reassessment by markets round vaccine expectations. The governor further
said, adding the monetary policy guidance in October emphasised the need
to see through temporary inflation pressures and also maintain the
accommodative stance at least during the current financial year and into
the next financial year.
