Filmmakers are keen on bringing the ongoing drama between conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Jacqueline Fernandez on the OTT platform. So it has not just caught the attention of the masses, but filmmakers too. If the latest reports are to be believed a few OTT platforms are already pitching and planning to make a series based on the controversy.
According to an OTT producer, there is huge interest in the Sukesh – Jacqueline story and there is a plan to make a fictional account of it. The rush to cash in on the ongoing drama seems to be competitive as well.
“This case is perfect fodder for a series or documentary on the subject. Hence, there is already a beeline of producers discussing how to turn this into either a movie or a web show. A few names are also being discussed on who might play Sukesh and Jacqueline in the project. It is the biggest con operation we have seen in recent times,” reveals a source.
Another source reveals that Sukesh had promised to produce a series of superhero films for Jacqueline. Made on a budget of Rs 500 crore, Sukhesh said that the project was going to be mounted on a huge scale.
“Sukesh knew very well that Jacqueline was looking for work in Bollywood. She wasn’t signing too many films and he used her vulnerability to woo her even more. In one such conversation, he promised her that he would produce India’s first woman superhero project with her that would involve Hollywood VFX artists, and it will be shot on a global scale. He told Jacqueline that she resembled Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie and she deserved a superhero series made around her,” the same source revealed.
Jacqueline has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) several times for her alleged connection to conman Sukesh’s money laundering case.
