Karnataka Congress leader Veerappa Moily tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday after attending the Mekedatu march. A total of four leaders have now tested positive.
Earlier, a day after Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar refused to take Covid test, two Congress leaders had tested positive for Covid. Both came in close contact with Shivakumar.
Former minister HM Revanna and MLC CM Ibrahim have tested positive after attending the first day of 10-day long march demanding construction of a balancing reservoir across the Cauvery river. MLA NH Shivashankara Reddy who was also part of the march tested positive yesterday.
Incidentally, Karnataka government had sent health officials to collect samples of leaders and participants of Mekedatu march. DK Shivakumar had refused to take the test claiming he did not have any symptoms.

The government has put a brake on the ongoing padayatra by Congress in the state amid a rise in Covid-19 cases. Congress will hold a meeting with all sitting MLAs, MPs, ex-MLAs and senior leaders in Ramanagara office to decide the future course of action.
