Along with Project Sadbhavana, the state government will also introduce an e-office system and will launch Swacchata Abhiyan at Janata Bhawan, Assam Secretariat, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.

The state government will also introduce an e-office system on February 1,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

In the run up to the launch of Project Sadbhavana, the Assam Chief Minister on Friday held a discussion with the employees of Assam Secretariat at an interactive session held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati.

Talking to the employees, Sarma said that the employees of the secretariat would play an important role in making Project Sadbhavana, a citizen-centric project, a grand success. The project, which will be launched on February 1, envisages disposing of old files which have been pending for several years.

Stating that the citizens are an integral part of state administration, the Assam Chief Minister said that the employees need to show their sensitivity to dispose of these files.

“Assam Secretariat is the epicentre of the state administration. Therefore, officers and employees in the secretariat need to show a high degree of professionalism and transparency in quickly disposing of files in accordance with the laid-down procedure. Along with Project Sadbhavana, the state government will also introduce an e-office system. In sync with the project, the state government will launch Swacchata Abhiyan in Janata Bhawan,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Urging the employees of Janata Bhawan to make Swacchata a part of their life, cleanliness in all offices and departments would transform the secretariat building into a model office, the Assam CM said, adding that the underlying objective of project Sadbhavana is to make a responsive administration.
