Trinamool Congress filed a complaint with the Election Commission in Goa against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Pramod Sawant stating that the leaders were seen flouting MCC rules during a door to door campaign on January 30. The TMC wants the EC to register an FIR against HM Shah.

The TMC wants Home Minister Amit Shah to be barred from conducting any further campaigns in Goa and suspend BJP’s national party status.
The TMC also wrote that the BJP and its members should not be given further permission to organise rallies in Goa. The TMC also wants that ECI should register an FIR against the said leaders.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Goa to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. The Goa Assembly election 2022 will be held on February 14. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
