Recently, BJP MP Chhedi Paswan had attacked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, saying that the latter could also join hands with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to remain the chief minister.

Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) national president Lalan Singh took a jibe at BJP MP Chhedi Paswan for his comments against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that Paswan should forget the fact about how BJP formed a government with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Recently, Paswan attacked Nitish Kumar, saying that the latter could also join hands with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to remain the chief minister. Former chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav had also supported Paswan’s remarks against Nitish Kumar.

According to sources, Lalan Singh has expressed his displeasure over the BJP MP’s remarks and advised the saffron party to rein in its unbridled leaders.

Paswan should forget that in order to win power in Jammu and Kashmir, how did the BJP form the government by joining hands with a separatist party like the PDP?” he said.

In 2020, Paswan, the BJP MP from Sasaram, had told a news portal in an interview that if the party had gone solo in the assembly elections, it could have formed the government by getting a majority on its own. He also said that despite the BJP winning 74 seats, it still made Nitish Kumar the chief minister.

Paswan had also raised the demand that the chief ministerial post should be shared for two-and-a-half-years between BJP and JD(U).
