Attacking the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party at a rally in Pathankot, PM Narendra Modi said the two are partners in crime. AAP is merely a photocopy of the Congress, said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, February 16, said that the Aam Admi Party and the Congress were ‘partners in crimes’. “AAP and Congress are partners in crime. They are doing noora kushti as if they are in WWF. AAP is just Congress’s photocopy. Congress brought the drug menace to Punjab, while AAP is trying to drown Delhi youths in liquor,” he said.
At a rally in Punjab’s Pathankot, he attacked Congress saying that the party had insulted Punjab. “Congress netas questioned the valour of our soldiers after the Pathankot incident. They maligned our martyrs. They are again questioning the bravery of our soldiers during the Pulwama incident.” If they get another chance, they will put Punjab’s security at risk.”
He praised Captain Amarinder Singh, saying that he was in Congress earlier and stopped such intentions of the party. “But now, he has also left,” Modi said.
Speaking on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Modi said that the BJP government put the accused behind bars. He also questioned Congress’s role on the Kartarpur Sahib going to Pakistan during Partition in 1947. “Even during the 1965 war, Congress did not bother to take back the land. During the 1971 war, India should have returned 90,000 Pakistani soldiers on the condition that it returned the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara,” he said.
He also attacked dynasty politics. “Wherever we win, we oust remote-control government and appeasement and dynasty politics,” he said. “We will make a new Punjab. BJP will leave no stone unturned. People do not leave our side, once they back us,” he added.
He said that the Centre works on the principles of Sant Ravidas. Earlier in the day, PM Modi offered prayers at Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir in Delhi’s Karol Bagh on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti
He quoted Sant Ravidas and said: “Aisa chahu Raj Mai,mile Saban ko ant, Chot bado sab samb se Ravidas Rahe prasan. Sant Ravidas called for equality for all. BJP’s motto of ‘sabka sath, sabka vikas’ is based on this principle. Our priority is welfare of the poor.”
“The BJP government prioritised the ideals of Sant Ravidas and provided food for all amid the worst pandemic in a century. Even developed countries couldn’t this. India is providing free rations to crores.,” he added.
“Our government also provided the Covid vaccine free of cost. We went to every village and worked to save the lives,” he said.
“I did not get the opportunity to serve Punjab on a scale that other states allowed me. We were only a small partner in the state government earlier. Today, I urge you to allow me to serve you for five years,” he added.
“ The BJP government is providing opportunities for women in India’s defence forces. We will open hundreds of Sainik schools, where girls will be admitted too. Our daughters will get a chance to show their bravery,” Modi added.
“The National Cadet Corps will be expanded in the schools in the border areas. This will instil a sense of nationalism in these areas,” he said.
