The Telangana BJP will commence the third phase of its padayatra on June 23. The decision was taken at an executive committee meeting held at the party head office in Hyderabad. The padayatra will go on for 20 days and will end on July 12.
The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch the third phase of its padayatra on June 23 and it will end on July 12.
The decision was taken at the party head office in Hyderabad where national joint general secretary Shiv Prakash, and state in-charge and national general secretary, Tarun Chugh, participated in the state executive committee meeting.
It was decided that the third phase of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s Praja Sangrama Yatra will be launched on June 23. The walkathon will end on July 12.
The third phase of the Praja Sangrama Yatra will commence on the occasion of Shyama Prasad Mukherji Balidaan Divas on June 23. The fourth phase will reportedly be taken up in August.
In the upcoming two phases, Bandi Sanjay will cover 34 assembly constituencies in the erstwhile combined Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts.
Since Sanjay is the party’s state president and also an MP, he has to be available to the party cadres in the state headquarters and also attend Parliament sessions. So, the schedule is fixed in such a way that he would take up padayatra for 20 days a month and be available for other party activities in the remaining 10 days,” said the BJP.
Earlier, BJP national president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had participated in the padayatra led by Bandi Sanjay. Various other central leaders and union ministers also walked alongside him.
Describing KCR’s Delhi visit as a big ‘drama’, he asked how many martyr families in the Telangana separate statehood agitation were offered any kind of financial support, jobs or were provided with houses.
He also alleged that BJP activists were facing atrocities at the hands of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government. He added that a BJP activist in Utkoor Mandal of Maktal constituency had 32 cases lodged against him.Live TV
