A delegation of Delhi BJP leaders led by president Adesh Gupta met Lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Tuesday. The leaders asked Saxena to direct chief minister Arvind Kejiwal to roll back the enhanced power tariff as well as the development charges for water
Gupta said the Lt. governor agreed to look into the issue.
Earlier, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) announced the Power Purchase Adjustment Cost (PPAC) for different discoms in Delhi. These rates will be applicable in the bills generated from June 10.
According to the new order, there will be an increase of 6 percent in BSES Yamuna area, 4 percent in BSES Rajdhani areas and 2 percent in areas falling under Tata Power.
