The Bengaluru metro announced that from Monday, August 8, the frequency of trains during non-peak hours will be increased. Trains will now run at 15-minute intervals from 5am to 6 am and from 10 pm to 11 pm, instead of the earlier 20-minute intervals.

Earlier, metro trains in Bengaluru ran at 20-minute intervals. The decision to increase the frequency of metro trains was taken for the convenience of passengers who travel late at night and early in the morning.
The first train of the day operates at 5 am. The increase in frequency also means that metro trains operating during early morning and late nights will be less crowded.
The BMRCL, which saw a huge spike in its revenue in 2022, collected a total of Rs 1, 29, 82,164 on June 6. This is reportedly the highest daily revenue after Covid pandemic.
Officials also stated that the Bengaluru metro had achieved 99.98 per cent operational efficiency in June.
