Amid the ongoing political crisis in Jharkhand, BJP leader Nishikant Dubey made a cryptic ‘Basant Bhaiya’ post on Twitter. The remark comes as a question looms over the membership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s younger brother, Basant, in the state Assembly.
Dumka legislator Basant Soren is facing the threat of disqualification amid “office of profit” charges levelled against him. The matter is presently with the Election Commission of India.
On Friday, Nishikant Dubey tweeted, “Basant bhaiye is gone too”.

Meanwhile, the fate of Hemant Soren’s membership in the Jharkhand Assembly continues to remain uncertain as the Jharkhand Governor has not disclosed his decision on the ECI recommendation yet.
