President Droupadi Murmu arrived in London on Saturday evening (September 17) to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and offer condolences on behalf of the Indian government.
The World will say goodbye to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, today (September 19). The Queen, the former head of state of the UK and Head of the Commonwealth of Nations, passed away on September 8, aged 96.
The funeral will be attended by a host of world leaders, royalty and other dignitaries. Foreign royals and world leaders will join the Queen’s family for the state funeral that will be watched by hundreds of millions all over the world.
US President Joe Biden arrived in London for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to be held on Monday.
Some of the other leaders who will be attending the funeral are Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, President of France Emmanuel Macron, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, President of the European Council Charles Michel, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Vice President of China Wang Qishan and Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg among others.
