AAP tabled a resolution against BJP’s Operation Lotus’ at the party’s national conference of elected representatives on Sunday.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh tabled a resolution against BJP’s Operation Lotus’ at AAP’s national conference of elected representatives on Sunday. Referring to the resolution, Singh termed the operation as the ‘biggest attack ever on the scarcity of independent India’.
Sanjay Singh said, “BJP’s Operation Lotus is the biggest attack ever on the sanctity of independent India. It poses a greater threat than any foreign attack on the nation. In the same way that a foreign attack brings down a country’s government, Operation Lotus places illegal governments on the heads of the people by toppling elected governments in different parts of the country. Operation Lotus is independent India’s biggest scam.”
Thousands of crores of rupees have been looted from the people to run this operation. This money was used to purchase members of the Legislative Assembly of several states across the nation. Operation Lotus is the biggest cause of inflation in India. Funds are collected by imposing high taxes on the poor, which the BJP then uses to purchase MLAs. Those responsible for Operation Lotus are traitors to the nation. They should be charged with sedition and sentenced to life imprisonment,” the resolution stated.
AAP’s Durgesh Pathak, Punjab Minister Harpal Cheema, Aman Arora and Goa MLA Venzy Viegas, who seconded the motion. The motion was later passed unanimously by all the elected representatives.
In the second session of the conference, AAP Delhi state convenor and Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai tabled a resolution seeking support and commitment to the ‘Make India No 1’ initiative.
Reading out the resolution, he said, “The Aam Aadmi Party, in its first Rashtriya Janpratinidhi Sammelan, takes a pledge to make India the number one country in the world. Every Indian wants India to be counted among the richest countries in the world. Every Indian wants India to become the most powerful nation. Every Indian wants India to be the best nation in the world.”
“Making India the strongest country in the world is the mission of Make India No 1. For this, we will have to ensure these five things in the country – good and free education and healthcare facilities for all, employment for the youth, respect and safety for every woman and full price for farmers for their crops. 130 crore people in the country will have to join this national mission. This is not the mission of any party,” he said.
“If you leave the country with these parties and these leaders, India will be left another 75 years behind. When 130 crore people join this mission, then no one can stop India from becoming No 1,” he added.
“Many people ask whether India can lead the world. Why not? We have the best engineers, doctors, lawyers, scientists and farmers in our country. What is lacking in our country? 75 years ago, when the whole country came together, we threw out the British. Our country will become the number one country in the world only when we give a good education to every child. The second thing we have to do is that every person in the country will have to be given the best treatment for free. No matter how poor they are, every life is important to us,” the resolution stated.
Today we take a pledge that through the nationwide mission “Make India No.-1” we will make every effort to make India the No. 1 country in the world.”
The motion was seconded by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and unanimously passed by all the AAP representatives.
Sisodia delivered the closing address to the elected public representatives of AAP from all over the country in the first Rashtriya Janpratinidhi Sammelan of the AAP on Sunday. He said, “the Aam Aadmi Party used to be called a four-man party by the BJP-Congress. But today, AAP is a party with a government in 2 states, 10 MPs, 1500 public representatives in 20 states, with hundreds of MLAs and mayors.”
Manish Sisodia said that PM Modi is reaping the benefits of the crops sown by the senior BJP leaders for the past 50+ years.
“CM Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader who is sowing the seeds to make India No.1.We shouldn’t believe that India has become a developed country by listening to the speeches or claims of any leader,” he said.
