BRS minister faces backlash from Dalit leaders after being asked to speak on Ambedkar

BRS minister Malla Reddy, while addressing an event in Medchal, was asked by Dalit leaders on the dais to speak about BR Ambedkar. This resulted in an argument between them and the police had to intervene before the situation escalated.

 

Bharitya Rashtra Samithi minister Malla Reddy faced backlash from Dalit leaders at an event in Medchal in Telangana after guest leaders who were seated on the dais asked him to speak about BR Ambedkar.

The incident took place at a program organised by Bahujan Samaj at Medchal in Telangana. Minister Malla Reddy was addressing the crowd and he was praising the state government scheme “Dalit Bandhu.”

He was interrupted by the other guests, including Dalit leaders seated on the dais, who asked him to speak about BR Ambedkar. This resulted in a verbal confrontation between the minister and some leaders on the dais.

However, the police and paramilitary security officials immediately showed up on the stage and they overpowered the leaders who had caused the scene.
