Supertron has been awarded as the ‘Company for Community’ by ASSOCHAM, as an appreciation for its continued work for the under privileged section and setting up Empowerment centres for underprivileged children.

SEPL has founded Supertron Foundation in 2016 to focus on its CSR activities in a structured and professional way. Supertron Foundation executes its social projects through various NGOs associated with the under privileged section. It has spread its wings to the various sections of the underprivileged society, focusing primarily in three areas such as – Empowerment through technology, Livelihood and Health.

The beneficiaries of its various social projects undertaken in the above three areas are from the lowest economic strata of the society and also of most deprived and vulnerable section that includes

  1. orphan girl children
  2. children from slums of Kolkata
  3. children and persons with disability
  4. old people

Commenting on the same V K Bhandari, CMD – Supertron Electronics says, “God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with. This is the philosophy that we believe. SEPL has been actively involved in many social projects much before Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) became a buzz word.”

The Supertron Foundation has set up five Computer Empowerment Centers in Kolkata and two in Nasik during the financial year 2016-17 and intended to expand to 10 to 12 Computer Empowerment Centers in 2017-18.
