AI-Enabled Yoga Mat “YogiFy” Presented to Union Ministers on International Yoga Day

 An innovative AI-enabled yoga mat, YogiFy, developed by a startup funded and incubated at the Department of Science and Technology (DST)-supported Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Mandi, was showcased to the Union Council of Ministers on International Yoga Day. This presentation was made on behalf of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and other key departments.

YogiFy, equipped with a built-in innovative sensor layer, tracks yoga postures and provides real-time suggestions for corrections. This advanced mat leverages AI and Computer Vision (CV) technologies, revolutionizing the at-home yoga experience by enabling users to practice yoga comfortably and accurately.

Developed by Wellnesys Technologies Private Ltd., a startup incubated at IIT Mandi’s TIH under the NM-ICPS Programme of DST, YogiFy is a fully indigenous “Make in India” product. It offers multiple benefits, including simplified yogasana training, interactive yoga classes, real-time posture feedback, and personalized coaching accessible anywhere in the world.

Recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, the YogiFy Smart Mat also integrates seamlessly with other smart home devices, creating the ideal ambiance for yoga practice. This innovation marks a significant advancement in the fusion of technology and traditional wellness practices, highlighting India’s progress in developing smart health solutions.
