Jammu and Kashmir, India — The annual Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrimage is proceeding smoothly in the south Kashmir Himalayas, with over 24,879 pilgrims having performed darshan at the holy cave by last evening. Since the Yatra commenced on June 29, more than 207,016 devotees have visited the sacred site in just the first 10 days.
The 52-day-long Yatra, which follows the twin tracks of Baltal-Sonamarg and Nunwan-Pahalgam, is set to conclude on the auspicious occasion of Shravan Poornima, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
The pilgrimage has seen an unabated rush of yatris, with thousands reaching the holy cave shrine daily through both tracks as well as special chopper services.
Authorities have ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place to facilitate the pilgrims’ journey, providing for their safety and convenience. The seamless organization and robust infrastructure have contributed to the Yatra’s smooth progress this year, enabling devotees to perform their spiritual rites with minimal hindrance.
As the Yatra continues, the influx of pilgrims is expected to rise, reflecting the enduring spiritual significance of the Shri Amarnath Ji pilgrimage.
