According to an RTI disclosure, from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, the Railways generated an additional Rs 5,800 crore from senior citizens, with Rs 2,242 crore attributed directly to the cessation of subsidies.

It is giving Rs 55 concession,” Vaishnaw stated during a press briefing.
