Lopez, 55, filed the divorce papers in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, as reported by Hollywood trade outlet Variety and celebrity gossip website TMZ. The couple, often referred to as “Bennifer” during their first relationship in the early 2000s, had become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about pairings.
This marks the fourth marriage for Lopez, a pop singer-turned-actress, and the second for Affleck, the 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor and director.
