Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, in a significant statement, reiterated that he has no aspirations of returning as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister. Speaking at an event in Kopargaon, Ahmednagar, Thackeray emphasized that he never dreamt of holding the top position, reinforcing his commitment to focusing on serving the people rather than personal power.
Thackeray used the platform to criticize the faction of Shiv Sena led by current Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, accusing them of betrayal. He expressed his disinterest in political power, stating that he doesn’t want the current government, even as he distances himself from the ongoing political dynamics.
Responding to Thackeray’s remarks, Shinde faction leader Shambhuraje Desai claimed that Thackeray’s party has weakened after losing influence in the Lok Sabha elections and is now relying on Congress and NCP for support, explaining Thackeray’s statement about not wanting the CM post.
