In a tragic and unusual incident from Surat, Gujarat, a 200 kg man attempted to take his own life by cutting the veins of both his wrists. The incident took place in an apartment located on the fourth floor of the Satadhar Society at Amroli Cross Road. Due to the man’s significant weight, it became extremely difficult for the family members and neighbors to bring him down for medical assistance.

  • The Attempted Suicide: The man, identified as Kalpesh Bhatt, reportedly cut the veins in both his wrists on Sunday evening for reasons that remain unclear.

  • Police and Fire Brigade Involvement: Once the family realized they couldn’t manage, they called the police for assistance. The police arrived at the scene, but even with their efforts, they were unable to bring the man down due to his weight.
  • Creative Rescue Solution: Eventually, the fire brigade was called in. A team of 7 firefighters and 4 policemen worked together to devise a solution. They created a sturdy cloth bag to place Kalpesh in, and using this, they were finally able to lift him and carefully bring him down from the fourth floor.

Kalpesh Bhatt was safely brought down by the joint efforts of the police and fire brigade, and immediate medical attention was provided for his injuries.
