Samosas Meant for Himachal CM Go Missing – Police Probe the Tasty Mystery

In an unusual twist in Himachal Pradesh’s politics, a full investigation has been launched into how samosas intended for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu ended up being served to his staff instead. The incident occurred on October 21, when CM Sukhu visited the CID Headquarters to inaugurate the Cyber Wing Station. Ahead of the CM’s arrival, boxes containing samosas and cake were designated for him; however, these refreshments were distributed to his staff and the Mechanical Transport (MT) section instead.

A report revealed that only a sub-inspector knew the boxes were meant specifically for the CM. When the refreshments were handed to a lady inspector, she, without checking with senior officials, redirected them to the MT section. This oversight, described in the CID report as a breach of protocol, has led to show-cause notices and disciplinary action recommendations for five policemen involved.

A senior officer labeled the incident as an “anti-government” act, stating that it showed a lack of respect for the CM’s presence. The investigation is ongoing, with officials examining if there was any intentional disregard in handling the refreshments meant for the VVIP guest.
