Uttar Pradesh’s Urban Development Minister, AK Sharma, announced that Prayagraj will soon house its first super speciality hospital, with an investment of ₹100 crore. This significant step, aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure in the city, was finalized during a state Cabinet meeting held at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.

  • ₹100 crore investment: The Urban Development Department will fund the construction of this hospital, providing Prayagraj with much-needed advanced medical care.
  • Municipal bonds for infrastructure development: Bonds worth ₹50 crore have been issued for Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra to enhance municipal infrastructure.

Cabinet Decisions under CM Yogi Adityanath

  • Medical colleges in new districts: Three medical colleges will be established in Hathras, Kasganj, and Baghpat, further expanding healthcare access.
  • Boost to innovation and employment:
    • 62 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 5 innovation centers will be launched across Uttar Pradesh.
    • Renewal of the Uttar Pradesh Aerospace and Defence Employment Policy to attract investments and create job opportunities.
  • Municipal bonds expansion: Bonds will be issued for Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra, following the success of similar initiatives in Lucknow and Ghaziabad.

The renewed Aerospace and Defence policy and newly announced incentives aim to bolster investments in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi highlighted that these steps will not only boost the state’s economy but also modernize its infrastructure.
