APCPL a Joint venture of NTPC and ALIMCO A Govt. of India undertaking signed MoU for the Distribution of Aids and Assistive devices to supply to Divyangjan ,with a value approx 2 crores at Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri Districts of Haryana, it is under the CSR initiative of APCPL on 04.10.2019 in New Delhi. The MOU has signed among Shri D.R. Sarin, CMD , ALIMCO & Shri Krishna Moorty G , CEO, APCPL. D R Sarin, CMD ALIMCO has presented a Jute bag and a Plant to CEO APCPL as a green gesture.
ARAVALI POWER COMPANY PVT. LTD. (APCPL), is a Joint venture company with 50% share of NTPC Ltd, 25% of Haryana Power Generation Company Ltd (HPGCL, Haryana State company), and 25% of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Ltd (IPGCL, A Delhi State company). APCPL has constructed a coal based power plant near Village Jharli, District- Jhajjar (Haryana) named Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project (IGSTPP). Presently under Stage-I, power plant of 3x 500MW (1500 mw) capacity is constructed, whose all 3 units are commissioned. APCPL has already distributed Aids and Appliances to Divyangjan last year at Jhajjar & Rewari Districts (Haryana) valuing Rs. 3 Crores in association with ALIMCO and now they have signed MoU for nearer District Charkhi Dadri.
ALIMCO is a “Not ForProfit” Central Public Sector Undertaking working under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India and has been manufacturing various types of aids & appliances on mass scale to meet the requirements of the Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), across the country.
- ALIMCO is the only non-profit motive manufacturing organization registered under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 in the entire country and is the only manufacturing company working under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India.
- For past 40 years, ALIMCO has been relentlessly manufacturing various types of aids and appliances on mass scale to meet the requirements of PwDs including orthopedically, visual and hearing impaired etc.
III. Since its inception, ALIMCO has been serving on an average around two lakhs of disabled population every year and has supplied 42 lakhs of aids & appliances (approx.);
- It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization and major categories of its products having ISI marking.
As per the MoU signed between ALIMCO and APCPL, Distribution camps will be organized at Jhajjar& Charkhi Dadri District for an estimated cost of Rs 2 Crores. In the Distribution Camps artificial limbs, aids & appliances such as Motorized Tricycles Tricycle, Wheel Chairs, BTE Hearing Aids, Crutch Axilla Adjustable, Braille Cane, MSIED Kit, Braille Kit, Smart Cane, Smart Phones etc. to Persons with Disabilities will be distributed.
