The Supreme Court, on Friday, granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi excise policy “scam” case. Kejriwal was granted bail on a bond of Rs 10 lakh and two sureties. This decision was met with strong support from AAP leaders, who lauded the verdict and emphasized the triumph of truth over false allegations.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha expressed his joy on social media, posting on X, “Welcome back Arvind Kejriwal, we missed you! Truth can be troubled but not defeated! Finally, the Honourable Supreme Court has given its decision to release Delhi’s son Arvind Kejriwal from the shackles of jail. Thanks to the Honorable Supreme Court.”

Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who had recently been granted bail in the same excise policy case, also celebrated the court’s decision, stating, “Today, once again, truth has triumphed in the fight against lies and conspiracies. I bow once again to the vision and foresight of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, who, 75 years ago, empowered the common man to stand strong against any future dictator.”

The bail for Kejriwal in this high-profile case has been viewed as a significant victory for AAP, which has been under scrutiny amid the investigation into the Delhi excise policy.
