Abhishek Bachchan has responded to the swirling rumors about his alleged separation from wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, putting an end to the speculation with a straightforward statement: “Still married.” The Bollywood actor made this remark during an interview with Bollywood UK Media, as reported by The Times of India.

Rumors of a possible divorce between the celebrity couple have been circulating on social media for some time, reaching a peak when the two made separate entries at a high-profile wedding last month. The chatter intensified after Abhishek liked an Instagram post discussing the rise of “grey divorces,” which refers to separations that occur later in life, typically after the age of 50.

Addressing the rumors, Abhishek said, “I don’t have anything to say to you all about that. You all have blown the entire thing out of proportion, sadly. I understand why you do it. You have to file some stories. It’s okay, we’re celebrities, we have to take it.”

The Instagram post Abhishek interacted with spoke about the challenges people face when separating after decades together. The post discussed how “grey divorces” are becoming more common globally, driven by various reasons.

Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been married since 2007 and have a daughter, Aaradhya, who was born in November 2011. Despite the rumors, the couple has maintained a strong presence in each other’s lives, both personally and professionally.

On their 17th wedding anniversary in April this year, Aishwarya shared a throwback picture from their engagement ceremony, simply captioning it with a series of emojis, reflecting their enduring bond.

The couple has starred together in several films, including Guru, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Dhoom 2, and Umrao Jaan. Despite the recent rumors, Abhishek’s latest comments reaffirm their commitment to each other, putting the speculation to rest.
