32 days after Uddhav Thackeray took oath as Maharashtra CM, with the coalition party of MahaVikas Aghadi (comprising of Shiv Sena, NCP & Congress) forming the government, the cabinet expansion has taken place today.
Two months ago, NCP leader Ajit Pawar had joined hands with the Devendra Fadnavis government and was sworn in as Deputy CM, after Shiv Sena broke the alliance with BJP.
After two days, Ajit Pawar stepped down as Deputy CM, severed his alliance with BJP, and went back to his home party, leaving many questions unanswered.
Today, ex-deputy CM and NCP leader Ajit Pawar has taken oath as the Deputy CM again, within a span of just two months.
The other notable names in the cabinet are former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ashok Chavan (Congress), Aditya Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena) and Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh (Congress).
