Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at CM Yogi Adityanath over the controversy that broke out after eight people allegedly offered namaz at Lulu Mall in Lucknow.
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his statement on the Lulu Mall controversy.
Without naming the UP chief minister, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Now manyavar is saying that someone is doing politics on the mall issue. People are saying that when you are at the helm then who else could be the narrator. Or maybe someone else is pulling the strings of power.”
After eight people allegedly offered namaz inside the newly inaugurated mall, a Hindu outfit objected to it and sought permission to recite the Hanuman Chalisa there, kicking up a row.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said the administration should not accept any mischief and strongly deal with elements that are trying to vitiate the atmosphere by fanning irrelevant issues.
“Such lapses will not be tolerated. Miscreants trying to create disturbance in the mall should be dealt with strictly. Unnecessary statements were being made by certain people and demonstrations being organised to obstruct the movement of people visiting the mall. No one should be permitted to obstruct traffic on the road by organising prayers or other events,” he had said.
On Tuesday, Lucknow Police arrested four people who had allegedly offered namaz inside the mall and efforts are on to trace four more accused in the case.
