Apps like Pocket Kash, White Kash, Golden Kash, and OK Rupee are among the apps that have been taken off from the Apple store.
Many users have reported that such apps take permissions of accessing contact, gallery and other data on the phone at the time of sign up and when the user defaults these apps morph pornographic images, videos and threaten the user with them.
The removal of these apps is a positive step, as it will help to protect consumers from predatory lending practices. However, it is important to note that there are still other loan apps available on the App Store that may engage in these practices. It is important for borrowers to do their research before taking out a loan from any app, and to be aware of the risks involved.
