In an exclusive interview with ANI, Bill Gates, renowned philanthropist and co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, praised India as a global leader in vaccines and highlighted the country’s significant strides in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Gates expressed his optimism about India’s future, emphasizing the remarkable rate of improvement across various sectors.

Gates lauded India’s role in vaccine development, stating that the country is at the forefront of innovation in this critical area. He highlighted the collaborative efforts to develop new vaccines, underscoring investments made with Indian partners to drive progress in vaccine research and production.

India’s swift response to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in vaccine production, garnered praise from Gates. He commended initiatives such as the AstraZeneca vaccine, emphasizing India’s ability to quickly ramp up production to meet global demand. Gates acknowledged the significant impact of India’s vaccination efforts in reducing child mortality rates, attributing much of the improvement to the widespread adoption and distribution of vaccines.
