The Aam Aadmi Party has hit out at the Bharatiya Janta Party over the alleged sting videos, saying the BJP is trying to malign the AAP.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday, responding to Bharatiya Janta Party’s series of alleged sting operations, said that the stings released by the BJP are fake and were intended to malign the AAP as the saffron party fears defeat in the upcoming Municipal Corporation (MCD) polls.
“It is evident that the BJP has conceded its defeat in the MCD elections. Their frustration is visible from the fact that they are releasing fake stings now and then which they shoot anywhere,” said senior AAP leader and MLA from Timarpur Dilip Pandey.
The reality is if the BJP had done something in the last 15 years, they would have been able to talk about their work and would not find the need to manufacture fake sting operations before the MCD elections,” Pandy added.
“The BJP is not going to gain anything from this. Understand the reason behind the names that BJP took in its doctored sting operations. Now, there is a high demand for AAP tickets to contest MCD elections, due to which a few people have started to act like brokers and are trying to take advantage of the situation,” the AAP leader said.
One thing has become clear even in these doctored videos released by BJP that no one can get tickets from AAP merely by money. The Aam Aadmi Party has not given tickets to anyone by taking money. It is just not possible. Tickets are given only to those candidates who have worked among the people at the grassroots level,” the MLA added.
